Annoyed – annoying.                                                     Depressed – depressing.
Surprised – surprising.                                                   Exhausted – exhausting.

Function:
  1. Past participles used as adjectives describe an effect on a person or thing.
  2. Present participles used as adjectives describe the person or thing that causes an effect. 

Ed = Past participles.
Ing = Present participles.

Practice
Choose the correct adjective form to complete the sentences.
  1. I like interesting/interested, unusual furniture.
  2. Our business goal is to have 100% satisfying/satisfied customers.
  3. Sofia is very exciting/excited about her new tablet.
